He is currently preparing to take the position of Chairperson of HIVE Liverpool next term and is looking forward to working with all the other committee members and building on the progress of the group under the previous chairperson. His hobbies include following the only team that matters, Liverpool FC, playing a bit o’ golf and playing/listening to music.

Volunteer Co-ordinator: Charlotte Plant

Charlotte is a first year medical student at Liverpool University. She joined HIVE in September 2010. Teaching in schools around Merseyside sparked an interest in SIC’s volunteer programme in Tanzania. She will be our first volunteer from Liverpool to go to Tanzania with VP2 for 2 months and she hopes to encourage others to volunteer too.

Publicity/Events: Sam Fielding

Sam is just finishing the second year of his biomedical sciences course and wishes to do graduate medicine in the future. Sam joined HIVE in September 2009 and is now the Publicity Co-ordinator for Liverpool HIVE. He would like to make HIVE Liverpool an instantly recognisable brand both on and off the campus, one that is associated with great fundraising events and a worthy cause. Sam wishes to grow Liverpool HIVE’s membership to include members from all areas of the university. His hobbies include skiing, snowboarding, diving and hiking, which he hopes to be able to incorporate into fundraising ideas.

She is a vital member of our team and her Irish charm pulls crowds to our events. She hopes to continue her great streak by planning a variety of events including sports days and gigs. Her hobbies include playing netball and her one dislike is rats.
