HIV, Health, and Your Community

SIC has created a Swahili edition of the resource book “HIV, Health, and Your Community.” This 280-page manual for health educators provides an easy-to-use guide to designing and implementing community based programs to combat HIV. With funding from The Ford Foundation and The Hesperian Foundation we have translated and published 8,000 copies of the book.


These books have been distributed throughout East Africa. Copies have been provided to the following groups, among many others:

The following documents are also available for download. All resources were created for use in northern Tanzania, but could be easily modified for use in other parts of the world.
